HELEN RENAUD SERVICES HELD

Helen G. Renaud, 72, of 525 Center St., Grinnell, died of cancer at her home Wednesday, Nov. 26.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home, with members of the family officiating. Organist was Kathleen Heffner. Pallbearers were Max Bennington, Dick Bortell, Jerry Carter, Kenny Hockey, Terry Matteson and Robert Meythaler. Honorary bearers were Raymond Tesser and Henry Verspille.

Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice Grinnell and left at the funeral home.

The daughter of Peter and Mary Davenport Pappas, she was born on Jan. 20, 1914, in Grinnell. She attended Grinnell schools.

On July 19, 1935, she was married to Albert Preston Renaud in Grinnell. The couple lived here with the exception of four years spent in Newton. Mrs. Renaud was a member of the Grinnell Senior Citizens.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry A. of Urbandale and Michael of rural Tama; two daughters, Judy Coffey and Sally Innis, both of Grinnell; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Faye Carter of Grinnell. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, who died in 1978.
