LETA RASMUSSEN

Leta Fay Rasmussen, 67, of Nevada, a native of Grinnell, died of cancer Saturday, Nov. 8, at her rural home in Nevada.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada, with the Rev. Barbara K. Mittman of the Collins United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery, Grinnell.

The daughter of Jessie A. and Myrtle F. Abbott Mullins, she was born Dec. 31, 1929, in Grinnell. She was a 1947 graduate of Grinnell High School.

She was married to Mark A. Rasmussen Aug. 19, 1948, in Grinnell. Mrs. Rasmussen, a resident of Nevada since 1960, was a supervisor and telephone operator with GTE there.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Lloyd of Colo and LeRoy of Nevada; one daughter, Louise Hougland of Windsor, Colo.; six grandchildren; her mother, Myrtle Mullins of Grinnell; two brothers, James Mullins of Grinnell and Edwin Mullins of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two sisters, Dorothy Hill of Brandenburg, Ky., and Mary Tufte of Filer, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Cleo and Sam Mullins.
