JULIE MINENGA RITES TUESDAY

Julie L. Minenga, 19, of Newton died Saturday morning at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines where she had been hospitalized the past 12 days.

The daughter of Clifford and Marilyn Wilson Strovers, she was born Jan. 17, 1954, in Grinnell. She attended the Grinnell school and was graduated from Newton High School in 1972. She was married to Michael Minenga July 30, 1971, at Newton, and had lived in that community since her marriage.

Survivors include her husband; her parents; two sisters, Jan and Laurie, both of Grinnell; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Strovers of Grinnell; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Wilson of Stockton, Calif.; and her great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Clay of Grinnell.

Funeral services for Mrs. Minenga will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the James-Schalinske Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Tan Creti of St. Paul's Episcopal Church officiating.

Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.
