THOMAS CADY

Malcom Leader: Thomas Cady, one of our oldest citzens, died Monday morning from pneumonia and old age.

He was born in Genesee county, New York, June 25, 1830, where he was united in marriage to Julia A. North, July 1, 1851. To this union were born four children, Henri-Etta, Alison B., Myra A., and Fannie D.

He was a former postmaster here and was a charter member of Lily Lodge No. 254, A.F. & A.M., and the first J.W. of that order and the last of the original membership.

He is survived by the wife, one son, A.B. Cady, of Grinnell; two daughters, Mrs. T.B. Wineman, of Grinnell and Mrs. A.B. Heltzel, of California, and three brothers, Silas M. Cady, of Malcom, Philo Cady, of Lawrence, Mich., and John Cady of Long Beach, Calif.

Allen and Carel Cady of Geneseo, Ill., nephews, attended the funeral.

Mrs. A.B. Heltzel was unable to attend on account of the distance.
