WILLIAM KEENAN DIES IN CALIFORNIA

The sad news was received here Saturday of the death of William Keenan who passed away at his home in San Diego. He had not been in good health for some time. The body will be brought to Grinnell by his son William, who lives in California and funeral services will be held from St. Mary's church probably Saturday.

Mr. Keenan was a peace officer in Grinnell for sixteen years prior to 1917. He was first a constable in Washington township. Later he moved to Grinnell and served as night partrolman during the administrations of Mayors Kimmerer, Lyman and White.

Mr. Keenan was born in Rutland, Vermont, about sixty-nine years ago. Those in his immediate family left to mourn his death are his wife, Mrs. William Keenan, and the following children: Mrs. Clarence Garrett, Mrs. Roy Beason, Mrs. M. Robinson, and Francis Keenan, all of Grinnell, Mrs. Hazel Marcusson, of Clio, Iowa, and Wm. "Bud" Keenan, of Los Angeles, Calif.
