MONTEZUMA OLD SOLDIER PASSES AWAY

W.H. Gilmore, *veteran of the Civil War, and respected citizen of the Montezuma community for many years, passed away at his home there Tuesday afternoon, following a long and lingering illness. Little hopes had been held for his recovery for many weeks, yet he bravely and gamely fought for his life.

Funeral services were held from the Presbyterian church in Montezuma Thursday afternoon.
