CIVIL WAR VETERAN ANWSERS LAST CALL

Ezra Doty, a veteran of the Civil War died Monday at the home of his son, D.F. Doty, in Deep River. He had been in failing health, such infirmities as age produces, but a stroke of paralysis Sunday was the immediate cause of death. He was a highly respected citizen of Deep River and active in community affairs as long as his physical condition permitted. The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon at the White Oak church. Interment was made in the nearby cemetery by the side of his wife and mother.
