HELEN F. LAMB

Helen F. Lamb, 85, of Grinnell died at her home Wednesday, Feb. 28.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home, with Virgil Scott, associate pastor of the Sheridan Methodist Church, officiating. Organist was Teresa Ziegenmeyer, and vocalist was Connie Bunse.

Casket bearers were her grandsons, Brian and Michael Huff; Matt, Bill and Christopher Lamb; David Harris; Chaun Favre; Scott and Tim Kaisand; and Nick Bunse. Burial was in Sheridan Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 8, 1915, in Sheridan Township to Ernest M. and Frances Cogley Lynch. She was raised on the family farm and attended rural school.

She was married to Lavern Lamb Aug. 27, 1938, in Lancaster, Mo. They farmed in Sheridan Township until retiring in 1980. They moved to Grinnell in 1983.

Mrs. Lamb attended the Sheridan Methodist Church and was a member of the United Methodist Women and the LGT Club.

She is survived by one son, Roger of Marshalltown; three daughters, Judy Huff and Betty Harris, both of Grinnell, and Janet Bunse of Melbourne; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson; one sister, Leta Lynch; and one brother, Delmar Lynch.

Memorial contributions may be made to her church, the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
