FUNERAL SERVICES HELD TODAY FOR MRS. RALPH LAMB

Mrs. Margaret Lamb, 82, Grinnell, died Tuesday morning at a local rest home.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) from the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. C.E. Kingsley, pastor of the First Baptist church officiating. Organ music was provided by Mrs. Esther Auman.

Serving as pallbearers were Verner Bolen, Paul Jantzen, Earl Lamb, Laverne Lamb, Leonard Lamb, and Leonard Pederson. Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery.

Mrs. Lamb was the daughter of George and Maria Bothwell Hayes, and was born on April. 12th, 1878, at Pittsburg, Pa. The family moved to Sheridan township near Grinnell and she received her education in the rural schools there.

In 1900, she was united in marriage with Ralph Lamb at Malcom and to this union were born four sons: Garland of Cedar Rapids, Lester of Oakland, Calif., Dr. Raymond of Des Moines, and Grant, who died in 1912.

In addition to her three sons, she is survived by four grandchildren, a niece, Mrs. Grace Hurd, and a nephew, Harry Wiley, both of Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph in April of 1952, and her son, Grant.

Mrs. Lamb returned to Grinnell from Des Moines in August of 1960. Early in life she was baptized and became a member of the old Christian church on south Broad Street here.
