AMY ERIKSEN SERVICES HELD

Amy M. Eriksen, 101, of Grinnell died Monday, April 21, at Friendship Manor.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Raymond Lott, pastor of the Grinnell United Methodist Church, officiating. Organist was Kathleen Heffner, and pallbearers were John, Keith, Lester, Raymond, Robert and Wayne Osborn. Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery.

The daughter of Sam and Katherine Gross Osborn, she was born on Sept. 25, 1884, in Grant Township. She attended rural schools.

On Jan. 20, 1909, she was married to Henry W. Eriksen in Grinnell. Following their marriage the couple farmed in Sheridan Township near Malcom. After the death of her husband she moved to Grinnell and worked in the housekeeping department at Grinnell College. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her daughter, Marie H. Tokle of Grinnell; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Paul H. Eriksen in 1981; two brothers John and Will Osborn; and two sisters Maude Warne and Elizabeth Stickle.
