MAUD MCBLAIN SERVICES SET

Maud M. McBlain, 93, of West Des Moines, formerly of Grinnell, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, at the Hillhaven Nursing Home in West Des Moines.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hazelwood Cemetery.

The daughter of William and Ann Bennett Heath, she was born on May 4, 1892, at Salford, England. She came to the United States and settled in Iowa.

On July 1, 1922, she was married to Archibald McBlain in Grinnell. The couple continued to live here. Mrs. McBlain was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Following the death of her husband in 1974, she lived in Altoona before moving to West Des Moines.

She is survived by her son, Roderick of Des Moines; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister, Annie Heath.
