JOHN CLEVELAND BEELER PASSES

Son of John S. Beeler Answers last Call, Aged Only 42 Years.

WAS HIGHLY ESTEEMED BY ALL WHO KNEW HIM.

Associates in Street and Eletric railway Employees Send Letter of Condolence.

John Cleveland Beeler as born July 29, 1884 and died Monday, Jan. 24, 1927, being at the time of his death 42 yrs., 5 months and 24 days of age. He was the fourth son of John S. and Ellen C. Beeler.

On March 22, 1913 he was united in marriage to Miss Marie McGruder of Britt, Ia., and to this union were born four children, Lavon aged 12, John S. aged 11, Lucile aged 8, and Edith aged 5.

Since August 1926 his health has been impaired, so seriously that in December he was taken to the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines and placed under a specialist's care. He spent four weeks there but the desire for his loved ones and home became so intense he was returned home where everything possible was done to save this young life but on Monday evening he went peacefully asleep and at 10:30 his spirit left him for the better land, leaving his home and loved ones to memories and tears. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and four children, aged father, four brothers and four sisters, Ira C., George F., Clark L., of Grinnell, Iowa, and Ora F. of Hugo, Colo., Mrs. J.H. Bradley of Edina, Missouri, Mrs. E.S. Morrison of Kansas City, Missouri, Mrs. John A. Reid of Malcom, Iowa, and Mrs. Clara B. Berhorst of Milwaukee, Wis., and a host of relatives and friends. His mother passed away in 1921 and his sister Mrs. Ida M. Windhurst in 1911. During the past twelve years he was employed by the Sioux City Service Company of Sioux City, Iowa, but his health failing him and hoping a change would benefit him he returned to his father's farm in August 1925.

The funeral was held at the home on Thursday, Jan. 27 at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. Geo. Blagg of the M.E. church and was largely attended by a wide circle of relatives and friends. The beautiful music was rendered by Mrs. A.S. Ennis and Mrs. D.H. Snook. His remains were borne to its last resting place by his three brothers, a brother-in-law, John A. Reid, and two nephews, Willie Beeler and Louis Windhurst. Interment took place in Hazelwood Cemetery of Grinnell.
