VICTIM OF ACCIDENT
Fred O. Baltisberger, Formerly Newburg Vicinity, Is Instantly Killed.
NECK WAS BROKEN AS HIS CAR TURNED OVER
Funeral Was This Afternoon From the Home of Andrew Appleby, Uncle of Deceased.
Fred O. Baltisberger, who formerly lived near Newburg, met instant death in an automobile accident last Thursday. Mr. Baltisberger was returning from Red Lake Falls to his farm northeast of Ada, Minn., when one of the front wheels broke. The car was wrecked and Mr. Baltisberger's neck broken. He died immediately. The body was brought to this city for burial and the funeral services were held this afternoon at the home of his uncle, Andrew Appleby.
Frederick Otis Baltisberger was born at Denison, Crawford County August 28, 1886. When but a child he came to Poweshiek County with his parents and lived near Newburg and in Malcom township until October, 1910, when he went to his late home near Ada, Minn. On April 12, 1917, he was married to Mrs. Ida Kiner at Moorhead, Minn. He is survived by his widow, daughter Ethel, his father, John Baltisberger, and a sister, Belra Baltisberger.
