HAZEL HAINES, 16 YEARS OLD, DIES SUDDENLY

Hazel Haines passed away at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Haines on north Summer street, at 2:45 o'clock Tuesday afternoon as a result of a self inflicted shot wound.

Miss Haines was born at Brooklyn, Iowa, September 29, 1920, and at the time of her death was sixteen years, two months and twenty-five days of age. She had been a resident of Grinnell for the past three years and was a bright and intelligent young girl and had promise of developing into a fine woman.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at two o'clock from the Northside Friends church and interment was in Hazelwood cemetery.
