PNEUMONIA IS FATAL

Fred Reynolds Succumbs to Dread Disease Saturday Evening Last--Only a Few Days Sick.

BORN IN GRINNELL; ALWAYS LIVED HERE

Funeral This Afternoon From Methodist Church--Rev. J.M. Brown In Charge of Service.

The death of Frederick Hamilton Reynolds took place Saturday at 10:20 a.m., at his home in this city, 626 Spring street. He quit work Tuesday noon of the same week, sick with influenza. This soon developed into pneumonia, causing his death.

Mr. Reynolds, who was the son of Mr. and Mrs. B.H. Reynolds, was born in this city June 9, 1884, and always lived here. He was married December 9, 1911, to Miss Ada Seaman of Atlantic, Iowa.

Three children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds, two of whom, Evelyn and Lucile, survive their father, as does his wife. One son, Edward, died at the age of 17 months. He is also survived by his parents, who reside here, and three brothers and one sister: George Reynolds of Denver, Colorado; Ben Reynolds at Camp Dodge, Harry Reynolds at home, and Mrs. C.S. Myers of Grinnell.

He was employed at Grant Ramsey's meat department. He was a faithful worker and a young man of many good qualities.

The funeral was held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the M.E. church. Rev. J.M. Brown in charge of services.
