FLU TAKES HAZEL PLUM

Young Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Plum Yields to Flu Yesterday.

SECOND SAD DEATH IN THIS FAMILY

The Entire Family Is Down With This Treacherous Disease.

Hazel Plum, 14-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Plum, died yesterday afternoon. She had been ill with the flu over a week. This is the second death, following that of Fred Plum who was buried a week ago.

When the flu broke out in the Plum family, Mrs. J.W. Plum, Charlie Plum, and Myron Plum were all stricken at the same time. Hazel was a wonderful help to her father in caring for the sick ones until she herself was taken, resulting after a brave battle in her death. In addition Mrs. Fred Plum and little baby were taken sick, and were unable to attend the burial of the husband and father.

The rest of the sick ones are improving. Mrs. Fred Plum and baby are now at her mother's and the other three are better.

Burial will be tomorrow in Hazelwood, the fuenral party leaving the home at two o'clock.
