SERVICES FOR MRS. DUNTON HELD SUNDAY

Passed Away At Home Here Friday Morning.

Funeral services for Mrs. Willard Dunton, who died Friday morning, were held at the home Sunday afternoon in charge of the Rev. Fred E. Miller and the Rev. E.W.F. Holler. Instrumental music was furnished by Mrs. Nina Bartachek.

Pall bearers were grandsons: Leslie, Keith, Stanley, and Wayne Dunton, Edward Amman and Kenneth Gross.

Interment was in the family lot in Brooklyn I.O.O.F. cemetery.

Mary A. Bramer, daughter of George and Almira Bramer, was born near Guernsey, Ia., March 27, 1861, and passed away at her home in Brooklyn after a brief illness on May 3, 1940. She comes of a family of seven brothers and two sisters. Only two brothers, Andrew of Brooklyn and George of Milford, Ill., remain of this large family.

On September 13, 1880, she was united in marriage with Willard B. Dunton. They located on a farm near Guernsey and remained in that vicinity for six years. They moved to a farm about five miles south of Brooklyn where they stayed until they located in Brookyn in 1913.

Mrs. Dunton was the mother of seven children, Olive, Mrs. Beryl Amman, and Mrs. Emma Gross of Brooklyn, Mrs. Alice Goodlow of Deep River, Delbert of Rock Falls, Ia., Mrs. Josephine Mathisen of Plymouth, Wis., and Earl, who passed away 22 years ago.

In her religious life Mrs. Dunton became a member of Sunset M.E. church near Guernsey in 1880, later transferring her membership to the Fairmount M.E. church southwest of Brooklyn. When they moved to Brooklyn her membership was transferred to Grace Methodist church of which she was a member at the time of her death. She was always active in the religious life of the community where she lived. A lasting impression has been left of religious principles by her devotion to them. In her aspirations she was as unselfish as it is humanly possible for one to be. Many have found great help and inspiration through her thoughtfulness and acts of kindness.

Remaining are 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren besides her husband, six children and two brothers.
