ROY LAMB, FORMER MONTEZUMA BOY, VICTIM OF TYPHOID FEVER

Roy Lamb died at his home at Roundup, Montana, Monday evening following several weeks' illness of typhoid fever. The funeral services were held at Roundup and burial made there.

The deceased was twenty-eight years of age and the son of Sheriff and Mrs. E.D. Lamb, of this city. He left Montezuma three years ago with his wife and child to make their home at Roundup. The parents of Mrs. Lamb reside near that town.

He was taken seriously ill a few weeks ago and Sheriff Lamb went to see him. After his return the mother, Mrs. Lamb, went to his bedside and remained with him until he seemed to be out of danger. She returned Saturday night. It was confidently believed Roy would recover and the telegram, Monday night, announcing his death came as a severe shock. Mr. and Mrs. Lamb drove to Grinnell Monday night, but found passenger trains out of that point so late they would be unable to get to Roundup in time for the funeral and returned to Montezuma. Roy was well known here and had a host of friends. He is survived by the wife, a daughter four years old and a son about four months old; also his parents, Sheriff and Mrs. E.D. Lamb, sisters, Mrs. Hortense Wood, of Malcom; Mrs. Clair Noel, Mrs. Dorothea Brooks, of this city, and Mary, at home; one brother, Phillip, at home. The bereaved ones have the sincere sympathy of all in their sorrow.
