MRS. HAZEL HALL SUCCUMBS TODAY; RITES SATURDAY

Mrs. Hazel Hall, age 66, of Rte. 4, Grinnell, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harold Pearce, on the farm south of Grinnell, Thursday morning. She had been in failing health the last six months.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Chester Custer, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Township cemetery at Montezuma. Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home.

She was born January 30, 1898 near Montezuma, the daughter of John and Clara Lineweaver Wiley. She received her education in the schools of Montezuma and Brooklyn, and in March of 1917 was united in marriage with Eldon Hall at Brooklyn. One daughter was born to this union--Mrs. Harold (Lucille) Pearce of Rte. 4, Grinnell.

In addition to her daughter, she is survived by two grandchildren--Mrs. David (Karen) Price of Grinnell and Kenneth Pearce of the home south of Grinnell. Also, she is survived by one great grandson, Richard Eldon Price, and one brother, Homer Wiley of Oskaloosa, and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her parents, by her grandson, Eldon Pearce, in February of 1957; and her husband, Eldon, in May of 1936. Mrs. Hall continued farming for several years on the family farm north of Grinnell, following her husband's death, and later moved to Grinnell to make her home. She was employed at Grinnell College for several years.

She was a member of the Grinnell Methodist church and the W.S.C.S. of the church.
