SERVICES TODAY FOR WALTER HALL

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today (Monday) at the Smith Funeral Home for Walter Clarence Hall, 70, of 615 Reed St., who died early Friday morning at Grinnell General Hospital East.

The Rev. Leslie Warner, pastor of the First Friends Church officiated at the ceremony. Vocal music was provided by Francis Graves, accompanied by Mrs. Willard Heffner, organist.

Pallbearers were Ross Swart, Alfred Simpson, Virgil L. Johnson, Homer Allen, Phillip Stewart and Darmyn Plain. Flower bearers wre Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Doud and Mrs. Ross Swart.

Burial was in Jackson Township Cemetery at Montezuma.

The son of Marion Francis and Mary Jane Otto Hall, Mr. Hall was born July 30, 1897 at Brooklyn. He attended the Brooklyn schools.

On Nov. 17, 1925, he married Eva M. Goodwin at Montezuma. Mr. Hall had lived in Brooklyn for several years where he held membership with the Methodist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Hall have lived in Grinnell about 40 years and he had been the serviceman for the Ford Garage here for 17 years. Mr. Hall's primary interests had been his family, work and home.

Survivors include his wife Eva; his son, Robert, and daughter-in-law, Martha Anderson Hall, and three grandchildren, Connnie Sue, Diane Lynn, and Elaine Kay Hall, all at home in Knoxville; one sister, Inez Hall of Grinnell; two brothers-in-law, Lyle Goodwin of Malcom and Vernon Goodwin of Storm Lake; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Vernon Turner of Grinnell and Mrs. Roy Baird of Montezuma; as well as several cousins.
