ALICE GOODLOW SERVICES HELD

Alice I. Goodlow, 89, of Montezuma died Thursday, Jan. 20, at the Brookhaven Nursing Home.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Montezuma, with the Rev. John Darlington officiating. Burial was at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Montezuma, with the Watts Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The daughter of Willard and Mary Bramer Dunton, she was born Oct. 21, 1893, near Brookyn. She attended rural school near Brooklyn, graduating from Brooklyn High School. She taught school until her marriage to Elza Goodlow on Dec. 30, 1914. The couple farmed near Montezuma, where she remained until 1967 when she moved into Montezuma. She had been a resident of the Brookhaven Nursing Home since 1980.

Mrs. Goodlow was a member of the Willing Workers, the Montezuma Garden Club, the Fairfield Ladies Aid, the Montezuma Methodist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School class.

She is survived by her son, Daryl Goodlow of Deep River; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1964; a daughter, Arlene Goodwin; an infant son, Wendell; one great-grandson and two brothers.
