DEATH OF YOUNG LADY

A clipping sent us from the Frederic (Wis.) Star conveys the sad news of the death of Mabel Dunton. Her father, C.E. Dunton, was reared near Brooklyn and will be remembered by many of our readers:

"The funeral of Miss Mabel Dunton was held last Friday afternoon at the M.E. church, Rev. Towne officiating. The remains were laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Mabel was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Dunton. She was born in What Cheer, Iowa, October 10, 1903, and died at her home north of town August 1, 1917, at the age of 13 years, 9 months and 21 days. When six years of age her parents moved on the farm north of town and have since made their home there. Mabel was a member of the Junior Class of the Frederick high school, but was compelled to leave school early in the term on account of her illness. She was a bright little girl, well liked by her schoolmates and a favorite among the older people.

She leaves to mourn her early death her parents, sister Pearle and brother Eugene. Two little brothers preceded her to the grave."
