RITES HELD FOR MARJORIE SWAIN

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6 at the First United Presbyterian Church for Mrs. Marjorie L. Swain. Mrs. Swain died Thursday, Jan. 4. Rev. Richard L. Menzel officiated with Mrs. Ed Bartachek as organist and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hiner as flower attendants.

Casket bearers were Marvin Goodrich, Art Uthoff, Robert McCulley, Charles Goodrich, Gene Meissner and Wayne Bacon. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery, Brooklyn.

Members of the Brooklyn Town Council learned of the gift of a recently deceased resident, Marjorie Swain, at their meeting Wednesday night.

Marjorie Swain, who died Thursday, Jan. 4, left all of her possessions to the town of Brooklyn.

These possessions include her home and a number of lots in East Brooklyn. Officials said she owned about three or four acres of land.
