Montezuma Republican (Montezuma, Iowa) Sept. 27, 1893

Died at the home of his son near Guernsey, Sept. 20, 1893, Elijah Hall aged 71. Mr. Hall was a native of Ohio, born in 1822. He was married in 1841 to Rosetta Hamilton. He moved to Michigan when he was 17 years old and lived there 43 years when he moved to Poweshiek county where he has since resided. He was the father of eleven children, nine of whom survive. The funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Brooklyn, Rev. Mr. Gage of Malcom officiating.
