GEORGE T. LUNDY

George T. Lundy was born in Hull, England, Aug. 14, 1878 and died at his home in Malcom, Iowa, Jan. 17, 1956 at the age of 78. Mr. Lundy came to the United States with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Lundy, Sr. when he was three years old. He has made his home in Malcom since that time. He was a member of the Fairmont Methodist church. In Feb. 1898, he was married to Nettie C. Lineweaver who died Dec. 20, 1930 at the age of 49. In April, 1943, he married Dora Otto, who survives. Mr. Lundy suffered a stroke in 1954 and has been in failing health since that time. Survivors are his wife and one sister, Mrs. Joe Wiley of Newton, Iowa. His parents and eleven brothers and sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services were conducted Jan. 19, 1956 at the Methodist Church in Malcom in charge of the Rev. D.J. Garrington, pastor. Manly Mills, organist, accompanied vocalist, Lester Schneekloth, Jr. Burial was in Ivy Hill Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Henry Richman, Earl Story, Allan Kies, Maurice Brewer, Ralph Wentzell and John Guddendorf.
