HELEN AKERY BERRY

Graveside services were held Monday afternoon March 2, at Riverside Cemetery, Marshalltown, Ia., for Mrs. Helen Berry, 92, a former Brooklyn resident.

Mrs. Berry died Feb. 28, 1987, at Grandview Heights Nursing Home in Marshalltown, where she had been a resident the past few months.

She was born May 31, 1894, in Poweshiek county near Brooklyn, the daughter of Orlando D. and Savilla Shuler Hall. She married Patrick Akery in 1913 and they lived in Brooklyn. They had one daughter, Patricia.

After her husbands death in 1939, she moved to Marshalltown.

In 1947 she married Frank Berry. He later died and she continued to live in Marshalltown.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Victor (Patricia) Taylor and her husband of Bathell, Wash., two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, her parents, five brothers, Sherman, Homer, Glen, Fred and Clyde Hall, two sisters, Carrie Kensinger and Katie Crider, and one granddaughter, Vicki Taylor.
