MRS. SWAIN RITES HELD

Marjorie L. Swain, 60, of 707 Center St., Brooklyn, died at her home Thursday morning.

The daughter of Frank Thomas and Dora Haines Woodle she was born July 30, 1912, at Brooklyn. She was married to Howard Swain May 1, 1943, in Missouri. She lived all of her life in Brooklyn with the exception of four years in Cedar Rapids. She was a member of the Presbyterian faith.

Survivors include a brother, Earl Woodle of Phoenix, Ariz.; a half-brother, David Paul of Montezuma; and a half-sister, Mrs. Ruby Barnes of Grinnell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1969; a son, Roger; and a half sister, Helen Paul.

Funeral services for Mrs. Swain were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the United Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn, with the Rev. Richard Menzel officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, with the Nevenhoven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
