"A precious one from us is gone
A voice we loved is stilled;
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.
God in His wisdom has recalled
The boon His love had given.
And though the body slumbers here
The soul is safe in heaven."Those who attended the funeral from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. A.D. Lineweaver and daughter of Des Moines, Mrs. Lucy Wood and son Ray of Marshalltown, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kreiger and children of Newton, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wiley of Newton, and Thomas Lundy of Strawberry Point.
