RITES THURSDAY FOR MRS. BROOKS

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Brooks will be held this afternoon (Thursday) at 1:30 at Bramer's funeral home in charge of the Rev. M.C. Shupe, pastor of Grace Methodist church.

Mrs. Brooks died Tuesday at St. Francis hospital in Grinnell where she was admitted last Wednesday after suffering a stroke at the Ed Burk home where she had lived for nearly five years.

Mrs. Brooks, who was 88 years old, had lived nearly all of her life in South Brooklyn. The former Minnie Dunton, she was born Oct. 1, 1870, near Guernsey and moved to Brookyn with her family at an early age. Her husband died several years ago.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Perry (Helen) Miller of Beaman; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
