MARY LOUISA DUNTON
Services were held Sept. 22 at Portland, Ore. for Mrs. Mary Louisa Dunton who died Sept. 19 at Providence hospital in Portland after a month's illness.
Mrs. Dunton was born March 14, 1861, the daughter of John and Anna Patten in Geneseo county, Illinois and moved west with her husband, the late Wesley Dunton, to Springbrook, Ore. in 1918, where he engaged in farming. Following her husband's death, Mrs. Dunton moved to Portland with her daughter in 1941.
She was a member of Women's Relief corps, of the G.A.R., and a member of the Christian church since 1914. SHe had belonged to Central Christian church in Portland for the past 15 years.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Neutzling, and a granddaughter, Carolyn Miller, both of Portland; two brothers, Ernest Patten of Brooklyn and Henry Patten of Mair, Saskatchawan and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Fultz of Des Moines.
She was the granddaughter of Samuel K. Barlow who helped build the Barlow Road for Oregon pioneers.
Interment was at Lincoln Memorial Mausoleum at Portland.
