FUNERAL FRIDAY FOR MRS. ALLEN

Mrs. John Allen of Battle Creek, Mich., who will be remembered by Grinnellians as Dorothy Laros, died last evening in childbirth, according to word received this morning by her uncle, Gerald Laros. The baby also died. Funeral services are to be held tomorrow at Battle Creek.

For about 15 years, Mrs. Allen had been active in Camp Fire work. She entered that line of work upon her graduation from Iowa State college. Before her marriage about a year ago, she was a Camp Fire exeutive at Battle Creek and before that held a similar position at Omaha, Nebr.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Laros, who now live at Wahoo, Nebr., three brothers and a sister: David Laros of Cleveland, Ohio, Paul Laros of Chicago, Frank Laros, who is in the Army and stationed at Camp Wolters, Texas, and Betty Laros, of Albany, N.Y.
