ROBERTA LAROS-GRUHN

Happy Young Wife Passes Away Leaving Little Son and Loving Husband.

There are many friends to mourn the death of Mrs. Walter Gruhn, who passed away at the Community hospital Sunday morning at 5:15 o'clock, after a serious illness of several weeks' duration. She was considered dangerously ill however but about one week.

Roberta Laros was born in Grinnell Nov. 9, 1893. She grew up here a bright joyous girl, graduating form the High School in 1911.

Nov. 7, 1914, she was united in marriage with Walter Gruhn, with whom she passed five happy years on the farm east of Grinnell. One son, now 18 months old, was born to this union, who now is left motherless by the lovely young wife, who has passed to the spirit land.

Mrs. Gruhn had planned to go East with her father early in October to visit her sisters at Allentown, Pa., but her illness which led to her death had already begun to tell on her and it was not to be. She went to the hospital three weeks ago and gradually grew worse until the end came.

Mrs. Gruhn was a lovely young woman, always cheerful, helpful and full of sunshine. She was a member of the Congregational church and her life was a daily exemplification of right living.

Funeral services are held this afternoon from the home of F.W. Gruhn, conducted by Rev. E.W. Cross.
