DONNA B. CARLSEN

Funeral services for Mrs. Donna B. Carlsen, 82, of Brooklyn, were held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 11, in the Nevenhoven Funeral Home, Brooklyn. Mrs. Carlsen died Tuesday, July 9, 1985, in the Brookhaven Nursing Home, Brooklyn, where she made her home since 1976.

Rev. Raymond D. Moore, pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church, officiated. The organist was Mrs. Sybil Kelley. Casket-bearers were Ernest Andes, Larry Dayton, Kenneth Richman, Sam McNaul, Jerry Byers and Thomas Sheets. Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery, Brooklyn.

Donna Berle Kramer Carlsen, daughter of Ben and Ada Foster Kramer, was born Nov. 3, 1902, in Adair County, Iowa. She grew up in the Stuart, Iowa area. She was united in marriage to George Carl Carlsen in Kansas on Sept. 18, 1946. They lived in Waterloo for 35 years moving to Brooklyn in 1976.

Mrs. Carlsen was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a niece, Mrs. Cleola Mae Snyder of Nevada, Iowa; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Velma Kramer of Dexter, Iowa, Mrs. Hazel Byers of Montezuma, and Mrs. Verna Behounek of Grinnell; and one brother-in-law, Harold Carlsen of Brooklyn.

She was preceded by her parents, her husband, George; and one brother, Clarence Kramer.
