ROBERT BADGER RITES SATURDAY

Robert W. Badger, 65, of Lake Elsinore, Calif., died Saturday at his home.

A memorial service for Mr. Badger will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home here, with the Rev. Ernest Elzey, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Kellogg, officiating. Organist will be Kathleen Heffner. Honorary pallbearers will be Calvin C. Barns, Leonard Chase, Ralph Spooner, LaVern Ladely, Norman Moxley, and Jack Trotter.

Following cremation, burial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery. A memorial in Mr. Badger's name has been established, and friends may call the Smith Funeral Home for additional information.

The son of William and Nina Rice Badger, he was born June 10, 1912, near Kellogg. He attended school in Grinnell. Mr. Badger was married to Helen P. Hotchkin, and the couple had three sons. He had farmed east of Grinnell for several years prior to moving to California 25 years ago. He had recently retired from United Airlines, where he had served in aircraft maintenance.

Survivors include his sons, Ben W. Badger of Escondido, Calif., William R. Badger of Gibson City, Ill., and Richard L. Badger of Hampton; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Louis (Edna) Hasselbrink of Kellogg and Mrs. Herman (Lela) Laskewitz of Newton; and a brother, Cleve E. Badger of State Center. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen in 1949, his parents, and one brother, Walter.
