RICHARD LUNN

Mr. Richard Lunn died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Ditzler Saturday morning at eight o'clock. The funeral services were held from the house yesterday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. W.W. Woodburn officiating. A large number of friends gathered to pay their last tribute to the dead.

Mr. Lunn has been a resident of Grinnell and vicinity for many years and has always commanded the respect of friends and love of those who knew him more intimately. He was born in England in 1837, removing to this country ten years later. In 1858 he married Miss Ruth Ann Turner. Mrs. Lunn passed away last fall, Sept.10, 1903. Six children were born to this union of whom four are living to mourn the death of a kind and affectionate father.

The G.A.R. attended the funeral in a body manifesting their appreciation of their beloved comrade. Mr. Lunn served his country bravely during the Civil War and received an honorable discharge. To the mourning relatives the sympathy of their friends is extended.
