SUMNER SERVICE FRIDAY

Mrs. June Sumner, 87, 1107 Fourth Ave., Grinnell, who recently has been a resident of St. Francis Manor, died Monday, Nov. 21, at St. Francis Manor.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Hazelwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Sumner was born Dec. 9, 1895, in Des Moines, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Castle. The family moved later to Ottumwa. She was married on June 25, 1915, in Des Moines to Charles I. Sumner. The couple lived in Ottumwa until moving to Grinnell in 1928 where Mr. Sumner was associated with his brother in the seed business.

She was preceded in death by her husband who died in 1956. She is survived by a son Charles Sumner, Route 2, Grinnell, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
