ALLAN GRAFF RITES ARE HELD

Allan E. Graff, 79, of Toledo, a native of Poweshiek County, died Aug. 14, at Grinnell General Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted Aug. 17 at the Sheridan Methodist Church, with the Rev. G.H. Hulsebus officiating. Burial was in Sheridan Cemetery, rural Malcom, with the Harrison Funeral Home of Tama in charge of arrangements.

He was the son of George and Elizabeth Martin Graff and was born Sept. 27, 1908, in Poweshiek County. He graduated from Tama High School in 1928.

He was married to Vera Frahm Oct. 24, 1936, in Charles City, and they lived in the Sheridan community until moving to Toledo.

Mr. Graff owned and operated the Sheridan Store for 44 years until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of the Sheridan Methodist Church and the Tama-Toledo Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a past treasurer of the Sheridan Grange.

Survivors include his wife, Vera; two daughters, Kay Gloe of Cedar Rapids and Jo Ellen Darter of Toledo; a sister, Helen Schrock of Marshalltown; one brother, George of Long Beach, Calif.; four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and a step-great-grandchild.
