FLORENCE CAMP SERVICES TODAY

Florence Elizabeth Camp, 93, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the Mayflower Home Health Care Center. She had lived at the Mayflower since 1969, coming here from Oak Park, Ill.

Memorial services for Mrs. Camp were held at 10 a.m. today at the Grinnell United Church of Christ-Congregational, with the Rev. Philip J. Ramstad officiating. Organist was Elbert Smith, and vocalist was Marvin Kelly. Following cremation, Mrs. Camp's ashes will be taken to Oakridge Cemetery, Hillside, Ill., for burial.

Additional services are tentatively scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, in Denison Chapel of the Mayflower Home. Should friends desire, memorials in Mrs. Camp's name may be made to the United Church Board for World Ministries and left at the Grinnell United Church of Christ-Congregational.

The daughter of Edward B. and Florence Gates Morse, she was born Sept. 26, 1886, at Oak Park. She was married to Charles Evarts Camp on her birthday in 1908 at Oak Park. The couple had four children.

In 1909, Mr. and Mrs. Camp established a fruit ranch at Weiser, Idaho. While living in that community, Mrs. Camp was a member of the Weiser Congregational Church and the Women's Club.

They moved to Montana in 1930, where they assisted the National Youth Administration in manual training for students at Laurel, Billings and Helena.

They returned to Oak Park, and Mrs. Camp was active in the home and foreign missions work of the United Church of Christ-Congregational.

She is survived by her four children, Mrs. Leland (Stephanie) Grattan of Newton, Mrs. Marvin (Florence Estella) Childers of Riverside, Calif., Charles Edward Camp of Mt. Baldy, Calif., and Mrs. Richard (Gertrude) Braun of Crossville, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1955, a brother, a sister, and a grandson.
