FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN HOME AT CLEAR LAKE

Ernest A. Bump, a former Grinnell resident died Thursday at his home in Clear Lake.

Bump, 80, succumbed after several months' illness. He had lived in Clear Lake for 11 years, and had also lived in Monroe. Bump and his wife, Hattie, were marreid in Grinnell. He was born March 11, 1879, at Fontana, Kan.

Funeral services were Saturday with Dr. John DeLong, pastor of the Clear Lake Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in the Clear Lake cemetery.

Surviving are Bump's wife; one daughter - Mrs. Warren (Thelma) Dusenberg; two grandchildren - Donald and Diane Dusenberg, all of Clear Lake; one brother - Wesley, Phoenix, Ariz.; and one sister - Mrs. Bessie Ivans, St. Louis, Mo.
