RUTH M. WORTH

Ruth M. Worth, 78, of Grinnell died Monday, April 25, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services were conducted April 27 at the Grinnell United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lon Lewis officiating. Organist was Kathleen Heffner.

Graveside services were conducted at Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.

She was the daughter of Harold and Jennie Howell North and was born Dec. 15, 1915, near Monroe. She was raised on the family farm and graduated from Monroe High School.

She was married to Arlo "Bud" Worth Sept. 20, 1935, in Red Oak. They lived in Pella and Indianola before moving to Grinnell in 1940.

An active volunteer in Grinnell, Mrs. Worth was a charter member of Beta Sigma Phi and the Rozelle Club and was a member of the Grinnell United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Janet Boliver of Wichita, Kan.; a granddaughter and one sister, Norma Vander Kieft of Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Una Van Roekel.
