MAUDE CLEMENTS

Maude M. Clements, 97, a native of Grinnell, died Saturday, March 20, at Villa Del Sol Nursing Home in Marshalltown.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at the Estel-Perrin-Avey Chapel in Marshalltown, with the Rev. Dorrie Hanson officiating. Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery, Grinnell.

The daughter of William and Anna Larsen Wisecarver, she was born June 5, 1895, in rural Grinnell. She attended school here.

She was married to Clarence Clements Nov. 26, 1913, in Grinnell. They lived in Grinnell until 1925 when they moved to Marshalltown, returning to Grinnell in 1932 and moving once again to Marshalltown in 1938.

Mrs. Clements had been employed by the Weeden Motel, Marshall Canning Co. and the Morrison-Shultz Glove Factory.

She is survived by one son, Max of Marshalltown; two grandsons and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, two sisters and five brothers.
