MARSHALLTOWN RITES HELD SATURDAY FOR C.V. CLEMENTS, 72

Funeral services were held at the Estel-Perrin chapel in Marshalltown Saturday for Clarence V. Clements, 72, of Marshalltown, former Grinnell resident who died at his home June 20th.

Officiating was the Rev. James K. Delahooke, pastor of the Marshalltown Methodist church. Burial was in Hazelwood cemetery here.

Born Aug. 12th, 1890, at New Sharon, he was the son of John and Jessie Bebb Clements. He received his education and grew to manhood in the New Sharon and Grinnell areas.

On Nov. 26th, 1913, at Grinnell, he was united in marriage with Maude M. Wisecarver and they lived in the Grinnell area until 1923 when they moved to Marshalltown.

Mr. Clements was employed by the Fisher Governor Co. for 38 years until his retirement two years ago.

He was a member of Moose Lodge, Aerie 313 and attended the Methodist church. He was a member of the Christian church of New Sharon and the Fisher 25-Year Club.

Surviving are his wife; two children, Max V. Clements of Marshalltown and Marcene at home; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Porter Longstreet of New Sharon and Mrs. Dwayne Fickess of Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and two brothers.
