WISECARVER RITES ARE HELD

Raymond J. Wisecarver, 77, of Marshalltown died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, June 22, at the University Hospitals in Iowa City, where he had been admitted earlier in the day. His death occurred while in surgery for an aortic aneurysm.

Funeral services for Raymond Wisecarver were held at the Estel-Perrin Chapel at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, with the Rev. Kenneth Dean, pastor of Central Christian Church officiating. Burial was at Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.

Born on Nov. 6, 1899, in Calhoun, Mo., he was the son of William and Anna Larson Wisecarver. When he was young, the family moved to Grinnell where he received his education.

On June 29, 1929, he was married to Freda Mae Hills, and they had made their home in Marshalltown since. He was a lathe operator for Fisher Controls Co. for 37 years.

He is survived by his widow; a son, Jerry Wisecarver of Marshalltown; a daughter, Pamela (Mrs. Gary) Isaacson of Union; two brothers, Roy and Gene Wisecarver, both of Grinnell; and three sisters, Mrs. Frances Smith and Gladys Wisecarver, both of Grinnell, and Mrs. Maude Clements of Marshalltown.
