FUNERAL SERVICES THIS AFTERNOON FOR WILLIAM WISECARVER

William Wisecarver, long-time and well known resident of Grinnell died Monday evening, Oct. 18, at his home at 1021 High St. He was 77 years of age at the time of his death.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. this (Thursday) afternoon at James Funeral home. Rev. W.F. Overhulser was in charge.

Pallbearers for the funeral were the five sons: Raymond Wisecarver, Roy Wisecarver, Clarence Wisecarver, Alfred Wisecarver and Gene Wisecarver and Max Clements, a nephew.

Music was by Mrs. D.E. Miller and Mrs. Roscoe Dempster.

Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery.

WISECARVER, Wm. Lewis died Oct. 18, 1948. Was the son of Jacob and Frances Roseman Wisecarver. Was born Aug. 16, 1871 in Scott County, Iowa. Died at the age of 77. Married Anna Larsen Feb. 28, 1895. Eight children were born to them: Mrs. Maude Clements, Gladys, Raymond J., Mrs. Frances Smith, Alfred, Roy E., Clarence W. and Eugene of Grinnell. Two brothers, Edward S. and George of Newton and a sister Mrs. Jessie Dunham survive. One sister Mrs. Nellie B. Coop preceded him in 1920.
