WILLIAM EARL CLEMENS

Funeral services for William Earl Clemens, 41, of What Cheer were held at Harden Funeral Chapel, What Cheer, at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 24, 1989. Rev. Dean McPherson officiated. Mrs. Nina Bartachek was organist and Sarah Heck was soloist.

Casket Bearers were Denny Urfer, Don Provin, Steve Heck, Larry VanDeVender, Sam Kitzman and Mike Williams. Burial was in Sixteen Cemetery, Thornburg. Military rites at the cemetery were by Post 319, American Legion, of Keswick.

William Earl Clemens, the son of Wayne and Fern Rauch Clemens, was born November 10, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, Ia. He died March 21, 1989, in Davenport at the age of 41 years, 4 months, 11 days.

Survivors include three sons, William Earl Clemens, Jr., of Delta, Ia., Timothy Alan Clemens of Sigourney and Dana Henry Clemens, Racine, Wis., a daughter, Candice Sue Hartwig of Delta, Ia.; his mother, Mrs. Fern Clemens of Thornburg; a brother, Michael W. Clemens of What Cheer; a sister, Terri M. Smith of Little Sioux, Ia., his grandmother, Mrs. Pearl Rauch of Thornburg, a close friend, Phyliss Cereue of Davenport and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne E. Clemens.
