RONALD BROWN SERVICES HELD WEDNESDAY

Funeral services for Ronald Brown were conducted by the Rev. Ray Biggers at the First Christian Church in Montezuma on Wednesday, March 12, at 2 p.m. Miss Alice Underwood was the organist.

Interment was at Jackson Township Cemetery where military rites were conducted by the Blakley-Stevens Post of the American Legion.

Casket bearers were Jerry Hicks, Bill Hedrick, Mike Clements, Danny Robinson, Randy Clements and Larry Cook.

Ronald, 27, lost his life in an automobile accident near Montezuma Sunday, March 9.

The son of Lois and Glenn Brown, he was born in New Sharon on March 8, 1942. While he was a youth, the family moved to Montezuma where he attended school, graduating from high school in 1960.

Ronald served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1966 with sea duty as a member of the crew of the USS Welke.

On June 15, 1968, he was united in marriage with the former Eileen Trinkle. He currently was employed in construction work with the Pelling Construction Co.

He is survived by his widow, Eileen; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Taylor of Montezuma; his father, Glenn Brown of South Gate, Calif.; two sisters, Billie Jo Gosselink and Linda Tarvin; two half-brothers, Steven and Douglas Brown; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hanley Clements of New Sharon and Mr. and Mrs. Weaver Brown of Stewart; and one niece and two nephews.
