MARGARET M. PROVIN

Margaret M. Provin, 83, of Newton, a former resident of Grinnell, died Tuesday, July 5, at Colonial Manor in Baxter.

Graveside services are set for 2:30 p.m. Friday at South Friends Cemetery in New Sharon, with the Rev. David Raymond officiating.

She was the daughter of Jacob and Clara Rupp Fisher and was born April 18, 1911, in New Sharon. She was a graduate of New Sharon High School.

She was married to Fermon Provin Dec. 22, 1930, in New Sharon. They lived there for 39 years, moved to Grinnell and, seven years later, to Newton.

Mrs. Provin had been a clerk at Nolin's Drug, the Kresge store and Penney's, retiring at age 60. She was baptized in the Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are one sister, Mildred Fisher of Grinnell, and a brother, Wilbur Fisher of Vancouver, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister, Ella Fisher Hill.

A memorial in her name has been established for Colonial Manor Nursing Home.
