MRS. MARSHALL RITES HELD

Margaret E. Marshall, 92, a Newton resident for approximately 50 years, died on Sunday at Skiff Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. William E. Sexton on Tuesday at the Wallace Funeral Home. Mrs. Marshall was buried in the Newton Union Cemetery.

The daughter of Maxwell and Matilda Paul McCosh, she was born May 4, 1888, in Hickory Grove Township in Jasper County. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1934, a great-grandson and four sisters.

Mrs. Marshall, who had been employed at the Newton Bakery for many years, also served as a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Women's Relief Corps, and the Golden Age Club.

Survivors are a son, Robert E. of Newton; a daughter, Mrs. Cecil (Alice) Ringgenberg of Newton; seven grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. Edith Koger, Mrs. Esther Ziegenmeyer and Mrs. Lois Carter, all of Grinnell, and Mrs. Jessie Wells of Brooklyn.
