ANNA DEEDRICK DIES THIS MORN; RITES THURSDAY

Anna Deedrick, 80, of Grinnell, died early this morning (Monday) at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday from the James-Schalinske Funeral Home. The Rev. L.H. Streich, pastor of St. John's Lutheran church, will officiate. Interment will be in Sheridan cemetery.

The daughter of John and Angelica Schmidt Meyer, she was born on Sept. 29th, 1882, in Sheridan township. A lifelong resident of the Sheridan community, she attended schools of that area.

On Mar. 8th, 1910, she was united in marriage with Fred J. Deedrick, at Grinnell. They farmed in the Sheridan area from 1914 until 1959 when they retired to Grinnell.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

Mrs. Deedrick is survived by her husband, Fred; a niece, Vera Steen, who made her home with Mrs. Deedrick for a number of years; and several other nieces and nephews.
