NORMA L. RYAN

Norma Lee Ryan, 43, Ankeny, died Monday, Aug. 5, of cancer at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, Des Moines.

Services were held Thursday morning at Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, Des Moines, with graveside services and interment Thursday afternoon at Prairie View Cemetery, Gilman.

She was born July 8, 1948, in Grinnell, the daughter of Alice and John Raymond McIlrath. She was married to Bruce Ryan of Gilman and resided in Gilman from 1972 to 1981 when she moved to Ankeny. She was deputy director of the child support recovery unit of the Iowa Department of Human Services. She was a member of the Ankeny United Church of Christ.

She is survived by a son Justin; her mother Alice McIlrath, Ankeny; one sister Wendy Mount, Scranton, and two brothers, Robert McIlrath, Altamonte Springs, Fla., and Dennis McIlrath, Grinnell. She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce; her father John Raymond McIlrath and one brother John Raymond McIlrath Jr.
